BTCCSquare news:

Grinex, a Kyrgyzstan-registered crypto exchange with ties to Russia, suspended services following a cyber attack resulting in the theft of 1 billion roubles ($13 million). The exchange accused "foreign intelligence services" of orchestrating the breach, citing "digital footprints" suggesting involvement by "unfriendly states." Grinex framed the incident as an attack on Russia's financial sovereignty.

Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic linked Grinex to sanctioned Russian exchange Garantex, noting both platforms' role in ruble-crypto conversions. Garantex was previously flagged by the U.S. Treasury for laundering hundreds of millions tied to ransomware and hacking groups.
